From ICAST Best in Show to Your Doorstep: Shipping Has Officially Begun!

After 10 years of development and a Best in Show win at ICAST 2025, FluxJet is moving from a pre-order milestone to a shipping reality. We have officially started moving units out of the warehouse, and the feedback from the water is confirming what we knew from the start: the world was ready for a truly Ready-To-Go jet kayak.

Shipping has begun: The first production FluxJets leaving the warehouse.

The "Jet Ski Myth": Solving the Weed Problem

The most common question we get is: "Won't the jet just suck up weeds like a Jet Ski?" It’s a fair question. Large personal watercraft (PWCs) are notorious for clogging in heavy vegetation because of their massive suction.

But a FluxJet is not a Jet Ski. We spent over a year engineering the intake alone to solve this exact problem. Unlike a PWC, the FluxJet intake is designed with a specific grate geometry and flow rate that allows it to motor through heavy cover without the "vacuum effect." While propellers tangle and pedal drives snag, the FluxJet glides over the top.

Engineered for the Shallows

Because the drive is flush-mounted inside the hull, there is nothing to lift or retract. We’ve tested this platform in 4 inches of water over gravel, sand, and thick vegetation—places where traditional motorized kayaks simply cannot go.

Open Battery Freedom: 12V to 60V

One of the core reasons we won at ICAST was our commitment to Serviceability. Most brands lock you into an expensive, proprietary battery. We don't. The FluxJet system is designed to run on any battery from 12V to 60V.

While the system is flexible, our team’s personal favorite setup is a 36V 50Ah Lithium battery. It provides the perfect balance of weight, runtime, and punch for a full day on the water. However, if you already have a 24V or 48V system in your garage, the FluxJet is ready to run.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the FluxJet be used in Salt Water?

Yes. The FluxJet is built with high-quality, corrosion-resistant materials. Like any marine equipment, we recommend a fresh-water rinse after a day in the salt to keep it in peak condition.

Do I need to register my FluxJet?

This depends on your specific country and state laws. However, in almost every state in the US, any kayak equipped with a motor must be registered as a motorized vessel. We provide the necessary documentation to make this process easy.

How fast does it go and how long is the battery life?

Speed and runtime are entirely dependent on the battery you choose and the conditions of the water. With our recommended 36V 50Ah setup, you can expect an incredible day of fishing, but like any electric motor, wide-open throttle will deplete the battery faster than cruising speeds.

What maintenance is required?

Our goal was to make this the most serviceable kayak on the market. With no propeller seals to leak or drive shafts to bend, maintenance is minimal. Keep the intake clear, rinse after salt use, grease occasionally and your FluxJet is ready for the long haul.
