The hull is constructed from rotomolded high-density polyethylene (HDPE). This is the industry-standard material known for its impact resistance, UV protection, and long-term durability against scrapes and impacts common with kayak launching and use.

88 lbs (bare hull), 112 lbs (fitted hull), and 122 lbs (rigged hull). The fitted weight includes the installed jet motor system and electronics. The rigged weight also includes the seat and battery box.

The FluxJet Kayak is rated for up to 400 lbs, including the rider, gear, and battery.

The kayak features universal accessory rails that are compatible with all major fishing brands, including YakAttack, Railblaza, RAM Mounts, and Scotty T-bolt-style attachments. The hull includes a dedicated, protected mounting plate for most standard transducers.

The FluxJet Kayak includes the kayak, the installed jet drive and motor, seat, Group 31 battery box (battery not included), navigation lights and 360 light, USB and USB-C charging ports, front cover for storage, rails, and much more. Yes. The FluxJet is fully rated for saltwater environments and coastal fishing. To handle the salt, we use high-performance ceramic bearings in the jet drive instead of standard steel bearings that easily rust and seize.

There is no such thing as a maintenance-free saltwater boat. Give the hull and jet drive a thorough freshwater rinse after every trip to the coast, and it will be ready for the next tide.

The FluxJet Kayak can reach speeds of 6+ mph depending on the battery. We have documented speed trials reaching 7.2 mph in recent production updates. A 12V battery will power the kayak at approx 3.8 mph, a 24V battery can achieve 4.9 mph, and 36V can reach 6 mph. Ideally, a 36V, 48V, or 60V battery is used to reach top speeds. The jet motor is integrated inside the profile of the kayak, so there are no protruding shafts, props, fins or rudders to snag on weeds or hit the bottom. Reverse helps clear debris. Avoid running over sand or small rocks, which can damage the drive.

Yes. You can paddle a FluxJet the way you can pedal an e-bike, so you are not always using the battery. Paddle holders are included, and we always recommend carrying a paddle. The paddle itself is not included (a 2-piece paddle is recommended).

Yes. The FluxJet has a wide, stable hull built for serious anglers, so you can stand, cast and move freely.

You can use any 12V to 60V battery that fits into the included Group 31 battery box. The internal dimensions of the battery box are approximately 14" L x 6.8" W x 9.8" H.

The kayak has a battery meter, and most off-the-shelf batteries offer Bluetooth data for exact capacity readings. Slowing down just a small amount can dramatically extend your run time and range. Always carry your paddle with you.

No. A charger is not included. You must purchase a charger matched to your battery's voltage and chemistry.

At 122 lbs, the FluxJet Kayak can be lifted onto your vehicle's roof rack by two people without a kayak lift. If needed, anyone can use a kayak lift, a roof bar extension or a dolly to assist. The kayak shape allows use of any standard kayak trolley with bunk arms to move it to the water, and with a flat hull, there's no risk you'll damage the motor. See the launch video.

Kayak shipping is collect from terminal, $350 to $650 for most states, arranged when we contact you before final assembly. Free pickup is available at our Sacramento, CA location (plus tax). See our shipping policy.

We use a number of freight providers for shipping kayaks nationwide. We have worked closely with SAIA, ABF and others to ensure the kayaks are properly handled, that shipments can be insured, and that you receive significantly discounted shipping prices.

Yes. If you organize the freight and send us the shipping labels, your freight company can collect from us. The shipping dimensions are 134" x 36" x 13" in a padded polybag, and the shipped weight is 133 lbs. We will label the kayak with handling stickers as for our normal shipments. Our dock hours are 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, and we cannot accept collections outside these times. You will be required to accept full responsibility and liability for any damage that occurs after it leaves our dock.

Whether you need a license varies from country to country, state to state, and city to city. You must check with your local authorities.

Registration requirements vary from country to country and state to state. Generally, motorized vessels require registration. Please check with your local DMV or wildlife agency. Your FluxJet comes with a hull identification number (HIN) and a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) for registration where required.

Before final assembly: no. Your deposit and full payment are fully refundable before final assembly, with no processing fees and no cancellation fees. We refund every dollar.

After final assembly or shipping (unopened, within 30 days): a 10% restocking fee plus return shipping cost with insurance. See our refund policy for details.

There are no refunds or returns once the FluxJet Kayak has been removed from its polybag packaging. Returns are only accepted on unopened items within 30 days, subject to a 10% restocking fee and all shipping costs.

Your FluxJet Kayak is covered for defects in workmanship and materials under normal personal recreational use for 2 years from purchase. The warranty does not cover commercial use, misuse, accidental damage, unauthorized modifications, or use beyond the 400 lbs weight capacity. See our warranty policy.

No. Shipping and handling costs are not included under warranty. If you return your kayak for repair, there's a $50 handling fee each way in addition to shipping costs.
