What's Included

What Comes With Your FluxJet

One boat, one price, and the gear most people expect to buy separately is already in the box: the seat, the battery box with cables and breaker, the light pole, the rod holders. Here is the full list, what you provide yourself, and who this kayak is built for.

Real people in Sacramento, Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm Pacific.

Included with every FluxJet

Every FluxJet leaves Sacramento with the same kit. Two of the biggest pieces are sold separately in our store for replacements, which is exactly why people assume they are extras. They are not extras. They are in the box.

In the box, not add-onsThe mesh folding seat, the Group 31 battery box with cables and breaker, built-in navigation lights, the 360 light pole and the factory wiring come with every FluxJet.

The kayak and the jet drive

The FluxDrive jet is built into the hull at the factory, with nothing hanging below it. The boat arrives pre-wired, with the electronic throttle, power panel (USB, USB-C and 12V supply) and a magnetic kill switch fitted and tested.

Mesh folding seat

The two-position seat is included. It mounts forward or back to fit the paddler, and you attach it during setup (assembly required). Replacements are sold in the store, but your first one comes with the kayak.

Battery box, cables and breaker

A Group 31 battery box is included, mounted underneath the seat, with the cabling and breaker already sorted. It is splash resistant. You bring the battery and charger (more on that below), we bring everything it connects to.

FluxJet adjustable foot pedals and steering

Foot pedals and steering

Adjustable foot pedals steer the jet nozzle, hands free for fishing. The pedals go on during setup and adjust to fit the paddler.

FluxJet rod holders and gear tracks

Rod holders and gear tracks

Four rod holders and factory gear tracks, front, side and rear, for mounts, displays and cameras. The holders swap with block-off plates and other accessories on threaded inserts, no drilling.

Lights, fitted at the factory

Red and green bow navigation lights and blue cockpit lights are factory installed, and the all-round 360 light pole is included in the box (you fit the pole during setup). Rigged weight with seat and battery box is 122 lb, and capacity is 400 lb.

What you provide

Two things, and we would rather say so on this page than have you find out at checkout. Everything else on this page is included.

You bring

  • A battery. Any 12V to 60V marine battery rated for at least 50 amps continuous. 36V is the setup most owners run. It must fit the included box: interior about 14 x 6.8 x 9.8 inches.
  • A charger. Use the charger the battery manufacturer approves for your battery.
  • Your safety gear. A PFD and whatever your state requires. The hull ID number (HIN) is included for state registration.

Setup, honestly

  • You attach the folding seat (assembly required).
  • You install the foot pedals and the 360 light pole.
  • You drop in and connect your battery.
  • That is the list. The drive, wiring, throttle, kill switch and lights are factory fitted.

Questions about battery choice are the ones we answer most. Call 1-844-FLUXJET or check the support page before you buy a battery, and we will help you pick one that fits.

Pick your color

Five colors, same boat, same included kit. These are the studio renders of the actual hull.

Who this kayak is for

A great fit if you...

  • Fish shallow, rocky or plant-filled water where a propeller or pedal drive hangs up. The jet sits inside the hull and the boat runs in as little as 4 inches of water.
  • Want electric power without building it yourself: no motor to mount, no bracket, no wiring project.
  • Like to stand and sight-fish. The hull is 35 inches wide with a 400 lb capacity.
  • Fish rivers, lakes and bays, and want one boat that covers all three.
  • Would rather service your own gear. The drive drops out with four bolts and basic hand tools.

Probably not the right fit if you...

  • Want a pedal drive for exercise. The FluxJet is powered, and steering is the only job your feet have.
  • Mainly fish big, open, rough water far from shore. This is a fishing kayak, not an offshore boat.
  • Need the lowest possible price. A powered kayak with the drive built in costs more than a paddle kayak, and the honest comparison is on the Buyer's Guide.
  • Cannot plan around a production run. Kayaks are assembled to order in Sacramento.

What other kayaks make you buy separately

Price a fishing kayak honestly and the accessories stop being small print. This is the comparison we think matters: not the sticker, the total.

The other column describes how fishing kayaks are commonly sold, not one specific competitor. The point stands either way: with a FluxJet, the extras are already on the boat.

Parts and add-ons you can buy

Everything in this section is optional or a replacement. None of it is required to fish from your FluxJet the day it arrives.

Questions we hear most

Is the seat really included?

Yes. The mesh folding seat comes with every FluxJet. It is listed in the store because owners can buy a replacement, which is where the confusion starts. Your first seat is in the box.

Is the battery box included?

Yes. The Group 31 battery box, its cables and the breaker are included and the box mounts under the seat. The battery itself is not included: you bring any 12V to 60V marine battery rated for at least 50 amps continuous, and most owners run 36V.

Does the FluxJet come with a battery and charger?

No, and we say so up front. Battery and charger are the two things you provide, so you can pick the capacity that matches how long you fish. The battery must fit the included box, interior about 14 x 6.8 x 9.8 inches, and the charger should be the one your battery manufacturer approves.

What do I have to assemble?

Three small jobs: attach the folding seat, install the foot pedals, and fit the 360 light pole. Then drop in your battery and connect it. The jet drive, wiring, throttle, kill switch and lights are fitted at the factory.

Can I buy spare or replacement parts later?

Yes. The seat, battery box, cables, block-off plates, gear track and more are all in the store, and the drive itself is owner-serviceable: it drops out with four bolts and basic hand tools.

One price. The whole package.

$3,499 total for the kayak, the drive, the seat, the battery box and the rest of this page. Reserve your build slot with a $999 deposit, fully refundable before final assembly.
