Lineup of FluxJet electric jet fishing kayaks in orange, blue, tan, and grey on the riverbank during end-of-year testing and 2026 production preparations.

FluxJet 2026 Update: 7.2 MPH Speed Record & Production News

As we close out the year and head into 2026, it’s time to come clean. We’ve been holding back some data because we didn't want to set unrealistic expectations, but the results from our latest testing of the FluxJet are too good to keep quiet.

We also need to have an honest conversation about production timelines, supplier challenges, and exactly where we stand on getting these boats into your hands.

The New Speed Record: 7.2 MPH*

You read that right. As of December 1st, we recorded a confirmed top speed of 7.2 mph.

Now, we have to put a giant asterisk on that number. To hit 7.2 mph, we were running a 60V battery setup with a 250 lb payload in ideal conditions. Is this typical for an everyday fishing trip? No. But it proves that this 11-foot hull is in an elite class of performance. We are now working on finding the "safe zone"—balancing that raw power with durability and run-time so you don't blow a battery or drain your tank in 15 minutes.

We are pushing the limits of what a fishing kayak can do. Secure your spot in line for the next production run.

Production Update: The "Domestic" Delay

It brings us no joy to say this, but we are currently waiting on one critical component. Ironically, while we took heat for using international suppliers for hulls, the delay is coming from a domestic US supplier.

The company making this specific part was acquired, and we are downstream of their restructuring delays. The good news? Our project lead is back on the team, and they have committed to delivering parts in January.

What We Are Doing While We Wait

We aren't sitting on our hands. The hulls for January and February are already here at the shop. We are using every single day to:

  • Template & Drill: Every hull is being prepped.
  • Pre-Rigging: We are running wires and installing accessories now.
  • Validation: We are testing pre-production parts to find every weak point before you do.

Once that final part arrives in January, it will be a quick "plug-and-play" installation to get these boats out the door.

An Open Invitation

We want to be as transparent as possible. If you are in the area or a super fan who wants to see how the sausage is made, come visit us. Send us a message.

We would love to have you in the shop, walk you through the assembly process, and even get you out on the water for a demo if time allows. We want real angler feedback, not just influencer reviews.

Our goal for 2026 isn't just to sell kayaks. We want the tech to be so advanced that people start conspiracy theories about us getting help from Area 51. Let's get to work.
