A Massive Thank You To The Community
We are incredibly proud to announce that FluxJet officially won Best Motorized Kayak in the 2025/2026 Yak Tribe People's Choice Awards. The kayak fishing community showed up in full force. Over 33,000 people cast their votes to decide the winners.
If you look at the voting ballot, we were up against some serious names. The list of nominees included the Old Town Autopilot 120, Bonafide PWR 129, Bonafide XTR 130, Nucanoe Unlimited, Nucanoe Unlimited Max, Kaku Voodoo, and the Oldtown ePDL. Beating out traditional heavyweights as a small team building boats in Sacramento means everything to us. There were no corporate judges and no industry politics involved. This was decided strictly by the people on the water. Thank you for backing us.

Proving It At ICAST Demo Day
We have skipped a few trade shows recently to keep our heads down in the factory and focus on shipping. However, ICAST is the premier industry event, and the demo day gave us the perfect opportunity to prove exactly what our platform can do.
We dropped three kayaks into the water and put over 70 people in the seat. We did not take it easy on the boats. We built an obstacle course right in the water using a wooden plank and a net. The FluxJet ran straight over the obstacles and blasted through the grass beds and weeds. There were plenty of other motorized and pedal kayaks testing that day. Because they all rely on exposed propellers and fins, they had to steer completely clear of the thick weeds we were heading into. The feedback from everyone on the dock was overwhelming. They told us the FluxJet was easily the most fun boat to drive.

A Note On Running Your Kayak Light
You might notice a small box over the rear jet intake in some of our recent photos. We want to explain exactly what that does and how to set up your kayak for the best ride. For an electric jet drive to perform at its best, the back of the boat needs to be slightly submerged in the water. If you are a lighter rider and your kayak is completely empty, the tail can sit a bit too high. That box helps correct the water flow when the boat is running extremely light.
To get maximum thrust and ensure your reverse functions smoothly, you want that jet submerged. You have two easy ways to dial in your ride. First, use our dual seat slots. Moving your seat to the rear position naturally shifts your weight back. Second, just throw your gear or a little weight into the rear tank well. We will be releasing a full video breaking this down very soon.
The Green Hull
If you were at demo day or saw our latest photos, you probably noticed a lime green FluxJet cutting through the water. We brought it out to ICAST to let people see it in action. Keep an eye out for more details on this new color option dropping soon.

Dealer Inventory And Shipping Updates
We recently announced that a few of our retail dealers have units available. We know that might be frustrating to hear if you are currently waiting on our backorder list. We want to shoot straight with you. Those dealers placed their bulk orders at ICAST last year. They waited in the exact same line and weathered the exact same delays as our direct customers. Some of them sold out immediately, and some might still have a hull or two left. We appreciate you sticking with us through the delays, and we appreciate our dealers doing the exact same thing.
Our entire team is back from the show and working hard on the factory floor in Sacramento. We are heavily focused on building and shipping kayaks right now. If our social media goes a little quiet, that is why. We are putting our time where it matters most.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do pedal and prop kayaks avoid weeds?
Traditional motorized and pedal kayaks use exposed propellers and fins that easily tangle in grass beds and thick weeds. The FluxJet uses a custom electric jet drive with an internal impeller inside a sealed housing, allowing it to glide over vegetation without tangling.
What should I do if my kayak tail sits too high in the water?
If you are a light rider running an empty kayak, shift your weight back to properly submerge the jet. You can do this by moving your seat to the rear mounting slot or by placing your gear in the rear tank well.
Why do some dealers have FluxJet inventory?
Dealers with inventory placed their orders at ICAST last year. They went through the same production queue and experienced the same wait times as our direct customers before finally receiving their units.
