Why a jet

Go Where Props And Pedals Can't

We built the first one because every other way of powering a fishing kayak hangs something under the hull.

Props tangle

Nothing Hanging Below The Hull

The jet drive sits flush inside the hull. No prop, no shaft, no skeg to wrap in line or weeds. If the intake does pick something up, reverse helps clear it.

Built For Skinny Water

Rated to run in about 4 inches of water. Push up rivers, over flats and into backwaters that stop a pedal drive or trolling motor.

Drop In A Battery And Go

Motor installed, wiring done, battery box under the seat. No brackets, no mounts, no rigging at the ramp. Launch from any bank or beach.

Straight answers

Before You Reserve

The questions anglers ask us most. More in the full FAQ and Buyer's Guide.

Read the Buyer's Guide
Is the deposit really refundable?

Yes. Your $999 deposit is fully refundable any time before final assembly. Checkout uses a credit card for buyer protection.

What battery do I need?

Any 12V to 60V battery. The included box fits a Group 31. Higher voltage means more top speed. The battery and charger are not included. See what's included.

How much is shipping, and can I pick it up?

Freight to a terminal near you is typically $350 to $650 for most states. Or pick it up free at our Sacramento, California shop (tax applies).

Can I use it in saltwater?

Yes. The jet drive uses ceramic bearings instead of steel. Rinse the hull and drive with fresh water after every saltwater trip.

What happens if I run into weeds?

There's no exposed prop to wrap. In heavy vegetation the intake can pick up debris. Reverse helps clear it, and our maintenance videos show how to clear the intake safely.

How heavy is it, and how do I transport it?

The bare hull is 88 lb. Owners car-top it on a roof rack like any big fishing kayak, and the FluxCart rolls it to the water.

What does the warranty cover?

2-year limited parts warranty. Full terms on the Warranty page.
